Wednesday night, as I was getting my documents ready, I realized that I only had one blank page remaining in my Passport. There was no way that I would get through 4 countries in one month with one page. They require you to have at least three blank pages.
Drama
The drama began! I called the Pasport express agency downtown and they weren't open Saturday, so I had to go on Thursday morning (but they didn't take appointments). My plan was to take the trainf rom Cary to Ogilvie station and back to work afterwards. I realized it was Veteran's Day and became concerned that the agency might not be open, even though I was told that it would be. When I called, I kept getting a busy signal. I thought it might be my cell, so I ran into the office and called and got the same busy signal. I went online and found another company called Swift Passport services, and the owner ended up living in Barrington, IL, which is the next town over. The bad news came when I was told that it was $142 for the pages and $278 for their service fee. Not what I was expecting. The other agency didn't give me this rate, but apparently, the girl never mentioned their fee!!! The owner from Swift Passport picked up my documents, processed them, and returned them to me at the office the next day. That was better than having to go downtown, but I don't think I'll ever make that mistake again! What a waste of money.
